CultureFly Meltz Illustrative Toolkit
Illustration and Art Direction
Role: Art Direction & Design Development
Client: Culture Fly
Creative Director: Trey Swartz
Design: Tyler Pate
Created for CultureFly’s NYC Comic Con booth, the Meltz Illustrative Toolkit brought a playful twist to beloved IPs—reimagining fan-favorite characters as drippy, colorful ice cream melts. Each illustration was designed to capture both the personality of the character and the fun, irreverent tone of the Meltz brand. In addition to the artwork, I developed a series of custom typography treatments that extended the concept across apparel, signage, and marketing materials, turning the booth into a fully immersive, collectible-worthy experience.
This custom Meltz illustration reimagines Shredder in full drip mode—melting with menace and attitude. Featured on the display case at the CultureFly Comic Con booth, the piece blends villainy with soft-serve style, capturing the playful chaos at the heart of the Meltz collection.
Shredder Gets the Meltz Treatment
Each custom type treatment in the Meltz collection was designed to evoke the frosty nostalgia of childhood ice cream trucks—frozen, drippy, and packed with personality. From bold block lettering to candy store script styles, the typography mirrors the playful chaos of the Meltz universe while adding a layer of texture and flavor to every piece of merch and marketing.
