Commissioned by LACMA’s membership team as part of the rebrand ahead of the David Geffen Galleries opening, this project invited select LA-based illustrators to capture moments that define the spirit of the museum—both everyday and iconic. I created a series of two-color illustrations inspired by scenes such as art handlers at work, jazz performers in motion, and visitors interacting with Urban Light. Drawing from the warmth and wit of New Yorker-style spot art, the work was designed to bring a human, playful tone to LACMA’s evolving visual identity.
A Stroll Through LACMA Campus
Capturing the everyday magic of LACMA’s campus, this illustration highlights the casual joy of walking a dog past iconic architecture, blending art and life in motion.
This piece captures the energy of live jazz echoing through the museum’s open-air spaces. With expressive lines and flowing movement, the illustration channels the spontaneity and soul of LACMA’s vibrant performance culture.
